Each Injection Molded Channel Letter is perfect due to the precision toolmaking of the molds used to make this product. While only 2 type styles are available, they can be ordered in nearly any combination of can and face colors. When combined with the EDGE-GLO face (Red Only), this letter is 100% injection molded and ready to ship within 2 days. Sign 2000 Injection Molded Channel Letters are the perfect way to cost- effectively illuminate your sign. These 5” deep letters blend in seamlessly with other fabricated channel letters. The only difference is, that these letters will not dent, corrode, or show adverse signs of weathering. In the event that a catastrophic event does happen to the face, Sign 2000’s lifetime guarantee allows you to replace the face without needing a measurement of the existing can as each letter is exactly like the first. The cans are made of Artek, a spaceage plastic that is impact resistant and passes all UL flamability requirements for illuminated signage for both high voltage and low voltage applications.

Injection Molded Channel LettersThe new low-profile look of GemLite Formed Channel Letters are sure to make you happy. The new slim-line design with near invisible can and trimless face, allows channel letters to go places they have never been before. Now channel letters can go indoor, as part of POP displays, behind front desk areas, or anywhere you want illumination without the large 5” protrusion of a bent aluminum channel can. Aside from its sleek looks, the face material of the GemLite Formed Channel Letters has been specially formulated to work with LED wavelengths to promote the best diffusion and light translucency for eye-popping brightness..

GemLite Channel DepthEach GemLite Formed Channel Letter comes with an opaque white can approximately 3/4” deep and a corresponding face made from a translucent, LED compatible (built in diffusion) face color. The face can be made either with a flat, round, prismatic or other sculptured profile to match your customer’s needs. The light visible to bystanders will be emitted not only from the face but also from the sidewalls of the face portion of the letter. Round face letters particularly have a striking look using this manufacturing technique. Some customers have also accented GemLite letters by applying a translucent vinyl onto the surface of trans-white GemLite faces so the face emits a desired color and the light through the sides of the letter face create a halo effect for the sign. Sign 2000 GemLite Channel Panels are the best way to add illumination to letters as small as 1” in height while maintaining a simple way to design, manufacture & install. Channel panels are the perfect compliment for ATM machines, POP advertising, logo creation to use in conjunction with other GemLite letters—or just about anywhere a beautiful, durable LED illuminated sign is required. Due to the physical properties of our CAB material, large panel faces will require sufficient copy to prevent warping.

Included in the price of the Gem-Lite Channel Panels are a face with 1 translucent LED color and 1 opaque painted background color and an opaque white can. For multi-color applications customers may order translucent white panel faces and apply translucent vinyl to achieve effects as seen in the "24H" installation. These panels can be ordered in conjunction with standard or custom letter styles to complete nearly any installation.

Backlight your Fabricated Letters with LEDs
Through the use of Low Voltage LEDs, Sign 2000's Fabricated Letters can be easily backlit to provide a rich halo effect.  Order an LED package and you will receive the following:

  • Removable can with lexan back mounting option
  • Insides of can painted white for optimal reflectivity
  • Installation of GE Tetra LEDs to inside of lexan back (choose from Red, White, Wm White, Green or Blue)
  • Balancing and testing of LED lights to assure even lighting of letters
  • Appropriate GE Transformers to power complete set
  • Wire connections prepared for easy attachment to power supply lines
  • All exposed terminal connections capped
  • Power supply wire holes drilled in lexan backs
  • Wiring instructions guidelines for Licensed Electrician

When ordering an LED package, your letters will be ready to hand over to a Licensed Electrical Contractor to complete the final wiring.  As we are not installing these letters you will need a few additional supplies to finish your sign.

Not included in the LED package:

  • Electrical wire and wire connectors to connect letters together
  • Raceway (if required) and hardware for mounting letters to raceway
  • Connections for 110V side of transformer
  • UL Listing stickers for OUTSIDE of cans (if required)

Install your own LEDs in Fabricated Letters
Many customers choose to install LEDs themselves in our Fabricated Letters.  We recommend the following options if you plan to install your own LEDs.

  • Order a Removable Can / Lexan Back Mounting
  • Ask to have the inside of the cans painted white (additional 10%)

LASER ENGRAVED GRANITE

For a lasting effect, we can make a copy of your artwork or etch it into a glossy black granite, which is suitable to be used indoors or outdoors. We offer 11 common shapes and sizes up to 18” x 24”. If you need a larger project, you can combine the six rectangular or square sizes in tandem to create your desired size.

GRAPHIC OPTIONS

RECESSED GRAPHICS (STANDARD)

The standard on all our etched plaques is recessed text and graphics that are paint-filled

RAISED GRAPHICS (OPTIONAL)

Raised text or graphics means the background will be painted, leaving the text or graphics in the alloy color. (There are stroke and artwork limitations with raised graphics.)

 

LINE ART

A sketch or drawing can be etched with fabulous results by reproducing a black and white line drawing. Since no halftone screen is used in the process, the fine lines are expertly captured in exquisite detail. Designed for indoor applications and is suitable for some outdoor applications.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Etched photos are created with halftone images, which resemble newspaper photographs and have visible dot patterns. The dots are filled with black ink to contrast with the brushed metal finish. High-contrast photographs work best for etched images.

METAL IMAGE

The Metal Image process offers greater detail than chemical etching. The porcelainized stainless steel is impervious to nearly all conditions, and the process is less expensive than etching, with a faster turnaround time. Alloy C304 / Optional Alloy 316. Only black copy or design is available.

MOUNT TYPES

  • STUD MOUNT

    All etched plaques 1/4" thick and thicker are drilled and tapped.

  • STUD BOSS MOUNT

    Plaques thinner than 1/4" can be stud mounted with welded stud bosses.

  • DOUBLE FACE TAPE MOUNT

    Strips of very high bond tape are applied to the back of the plaque.

  • THROUGH-HOLE MOUNT

    Holes are drilled through the surface of the plaque. Specify screw size and if the holes should be countersunk. (Plaques 1/16”?thick cannot be countersunk and will include round head screws.)

Polished & anodized finishes require a min. 2" height and ¼" depth or 3" height and ?" depth (stud mounts required). Restrictions may apply on letters over 24". Actual color may vary from order to order due to the anodizing.All patinas, by their very nature, will vary form letter to letter and order to order. These finishes will change in appearance over time depending on contact with moisture and temperature. Patinas can "bleed" onto the installation surface when installed outside.

Mount Types

  • Stud Mount

    Letter backs of flat solid letters are drilled and tapped (1/4" min. thickness) to receive threaded studs. Studs are pressed into pre-drilled wall holes and secured with adhesive and/or anchors – based on the wall type and letter weight. Studs can be aligned in-line for brick or block mortar upon request.  Letters 1/8" thick can have studs bosses welded (additional charge) to the to receive the stud. (view drawing)

  • Top Stud Mount

    Letters 3/8" and thicker can be drilled and tapped for a top stud installation. (view drawing)

  • Bottom Stud Mount

    Letters 3/8" and thicker can be drilled and tapped for a bottom stud installation.  Letters with rounded bottoms (such as C,G,J,O,Q,S,U) can be sanded flat to properly align on a flat surface or rail. (view drawing)
